India arrests 14 suspected supporters ISIS
NEW DELHI - Indian police arrested 14 suspected supporters or sympathizers of the group Islamic State of Iraq Syria or ISIS arrest of suspected terrorists in operations nationwide.
"Six people suspected of having links with ISIS arrested in the southern state Kartanaka. The other one is caught in Mumbai allegedly acted as recruiters members of ISIS," the local TV station reports Times Now.
The report also states that the arrest operation carried out in two other states and arrest operation is still ongoing, as quoted by Xinhua on Saturday (23/01/2016).
"Six youths, including four from the IT hub Bangalore in Karnataka has been arrested on suspicion of being part of ISIS link. Four people were arrested in Bangalore and one each in Mangalutu and Tumakuru," said Interior Minister G. Parameshwara Karnataka state.
While the Indo-Asian News Service reported that the number of weapons and ammunition in large quantities found and confiscated from the two suspects rented house. Citing a source, the arrest operation was carried out tersangak ISIS sympathizers because they were planning a bomb attack on January 26th Republic Day celebrations.
